Shawandha Lodge is situated between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo on the southern Caribbean coast , it is over the road from the beach and a short walk or cycle from the beautiful beaches at Punta Uva. The lodge is situated in the tropical forest and the lodge was built with minimal impact on the environment and so there are many trees in the surrounding grounds.

Rooms: The lodge has 20 bungalows with thatched roofs and 6 adult only tippie rooms, some have air-conditioning and some are family rooms with multiple beds.

Dining: The onsite restaurant serves a combination of tropical and french cuisine. The lodge is also a short distance from restaurants and bars.

Nearby Excursions: Walk to the Jaguar Rescue Centre, Punta Uva beach where you can kayak up river or cycle to Manzanillo Reserve. Further afield you can visit the indigenous Bribri people and learn more about their culture or Cahuita National Park with its array of wildlife and beautiful beaches.
